Biography

Sudarmawan Samidi

Sudarmawan Samidi is the Vice Director for Research and Community Developments Center at IPMI IBS. He is teaching Business Ethics, Organizational Policy and Strategy, Islamic Banking and Finance, and Islamic Studies. He holds a Master of Management from the Graduate School of Management, International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained a scholarship for his Bachelor’s degree from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He is also a co-founder and management consultant at Ihya Consulting.

Prior to that, He worked for Schlumberger Oil and Gas Services project in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Barclays Bank PLC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has been active in numerous professional associations such as Member of the Islamic Economist Association in Indonesia (IAEI), Member of Islamic Economic Forum for Indonesia Development (ISEFID), and General Secretary of Malaysia Alumni Associations (PAM). He has extensive research in Islamic Banking and finance, financial markets and institutions, and strategic management.

Mr. Sudarmawan Samidi teaches in BBA program classes at IPMI International Business School.
