Innolab Launching Ceremony & Innovation Talk: “LEVERAGING INDONESIAN TALENTS TO INNOVATE THROUGH BUSINESS INCUBATOR”
Currently the Indonesian Government actively supports technological startups as part of the national economic growth strategy and plan. The Indonesian Government believes that technology startups can improve the level of employment, market valuation, and technology in Indonesia. The inauguration of “Making Indonesia 4.0” by the Ministry of Industry was a step to be determined to implement Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR4) in Indonesia.
However, based on some research, the success rate of technological startups is fairly low. Most struggle to survive when entering the incubation stage. The barriers faced by startups include access to network and market, mentor Quality, investor interest and it was found that most of the technology incubators do not provide IR4 technology, as well as lack of provision of IR4 technology in government facilities or laboratories.
To solve this problem, IPMI International Business School collaborated with Innovesia in establishing and developing an innovation and incubator center, called Innolab. Innolab was established as a “center of excellence” in developing the capacity and the tensions of students, communities, SMEs &, Corporations, and government institutions in developing innovation. Innolab can be used as a forum and a laboratory to curate business ideas, research, experiment, and exploration facilitated by the latest technology or IR4.
