As part of IPMI Institute’s commitment to experiential learning, 83 students from the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program participated in an insightful company visit to DHL Express Service Point – Halim on Friday, April 25, 2025. Accompanied by the Head of BBA Program, Mrs. Liza Agustina Maureen Nelloh, SE., MM., CDM, along with IPMI faculty and staff, this visit was aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of real-world business operations, particularly within the logistics and express delivery industry.
The visit aligned with academic subjects such as Operations and Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Introduction to Marketing. It was structured to help students connect classroom theories with practical applications, preparing them to become future professionals and business leaders.
Hosted at the DHL Halim Service Center, the three-hour session began with a warm welcome, followed by a safety briefing and two main presentations. The Operations presentation introduced students to DHL’s warehouse management, logistics technology, and the end-to-end delivery process. It offered a comprehensive view of how DHL manages its international logistics operations with precision and efficiency.
The second session focused on Human Resource Management, where DHL’s HR team shared strategies for talent development, employee engagement, and career opportunities within the logistics industry. The interactive Q&A sessions provided students with a rare opportunity to directly engage with industry professionals and ask meaningful questions about both operational and organizational practices.
After the presentations, students were split into two groups to take a guided tour of DHL’s warehouse facility. The tour enabled them to witness first-hand the intricate processes that ensure the swift and secure movement of goods, reinforcing their understanding of operational workflows.
This company visit is a reflection of IPMI’s active engagement with industry partners and its hands-on approach to business education. Through such initiatives, IPMI not only strengthens its ties with top-tier corporations but also enhances the employability and readiness of its students in the global job market.
