IPMI Collaborates with Yayasan Menabung Air for Water Conservation Education Program

Jakarta, June 24, 2025 – In a continued effort to support environmental preservation and groundwater conservation, IPMI International Business School has established a strategic collaboration with Yayasan Menabung Air through an educational program and the application of biopore technology, led by Yulia Ayu Srikanthi, Chairperson of Yayasan Menabung Air, as the keynote speaker. The event was also attended by Prof. Ir. Aman Wirakartakusumah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Rector of IPMI International Business School, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. This program is part of IPMI’s community service initiative, actively involving students and faculty members as change agents in sustainability issues.

The program, titled “Menabung Air” (Saving Water), runs from June to August 2025, covering activities such as educational workshops, hands-on biopore hole-making, and content creation for public outreach. Activities will be held across the IPMI campus, partner schools, and local communities. Through this collaboration, IPMI aims to encourage students to excel not only academically but also to become environmentally conscious individuals who take tangible action.

Yayasan Menabung Air will provide educational materials, demonstration tools, and logistical support to ensure the smooth implementation of the program. All participants, including students, faculty, and community members, will receive a certificate of participation as a token of appreciation.

The main objectives of this program include:

  • Raising public awareness about the importance of water conservation.

  • Providing contextual social learning opportunities for the IPMI academic community.

  • Documenting activities for reporting to the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) and for publication on social media platforms.

This collaboration will be formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and is expected to mark the beginning of a sustainable partnership between the education sector, industry, and the community in safeguarding the environment.
