Kisah Sukses: Arif Ahan Danu (BBA 2017), Pemilik FOMO Coffee

“I want to experience starting a business from point 0, to challenge myself. When I look at the figures of successful people, what I look up to is not their success alone, yet their journey to achieve it which I can learn a lot from.”

When we asked Arif, our BBA student, about the reason he dares to jump in the coffee shop business besides that he is eager to experience the entrepreneurial world, there’s this thing that we also are reminded of, trial &amp, error.

“FOMO is not my first coffee shop, I have failed before. However, I always believe that FAIL means First Attempt in Learning.” Armed with enthusiasm, prayers, solid team and valuable lessons from previous failure, now he rises again together with FOMO coffee which he builds devotedly.

At first, he had no knowledge of the coffee industry. His friends and mentors who have already plunged into the industry show him the ropes.

“For me, having the right mindset to start a business is also very important and IPMI has helped me to shape the mindset. Not only that, I also learn about all the tools that are necessary to start my career as a businessman. From implementing business strategies, knowledge about financial management, leadership to human resources. Manifesting my dream feels less heavy through endless support from my family, friends and IPMI lecturers especially Mr. Ardo and Ms. Martha who help me gain and hone the skill I had trouble with.”

Together with his passion in the coffee industry, he still wants to keep fighting so that FOMO coffee will become a successful franchise business. The goal is also esteemed, which is to help the coffee industry develop at the national and international scale.

If Arif can do it, we believe you can too! :)&nbsp,
