Soft Launching of “Kampus Merdeka” Official Logo

The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia launched the “Kampus Merdeka” logo to the public on Monday, 14th September 2020.

The “Kampus Merdeka” Policy issued by the Minister of Education and Culture, Bpk. Nadiem Makarim, in early 2020 is expected to accelerate innovation in the field of Higher Education. One of the main policies of the “Kampus Merdeka” is the independence of students to take courses outside the study program and to change the definition of Semester Credit Units (SKS).

Director-General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Bpk. Nizam said, “Kampus Merdeka” is expected to open the barriers in scientific fields and build wider cooperation with various departments.

“During the pandemic, when the future is full of uncertainty, we must be able to break through the walls of science, study programs, because the problems are getting more complex. It requires collaborative interactions between study programs, interactions between universities, and interactions between campuses and the real world,” said Bpk. Nizam in the “Kampus Merdeka” logo launching online event.

Congratulations to the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and all other institutions involved in this break-through event and concept. We believe this innovative concept will bring Indonesia’s education getting close to perfection.

Note: If you are curious about this “Kampus Merdeka” concept, kindly feel free to contact the IPMI campus counselor or faculty members to ask more about this program!
