At the 51st Graduation Ceremony of IPMI Institute, themed “Proud Past, Promising Future,” Prof. Ir. M. Aman Wirakartakusumah, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Rector of IPMI Institute, and Nico Kanter, President Director of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk., delivered empowering messages to graduates about the importance of adaptability, innovation, and integrity in navigating an ever-changing world.

Held on December 11, 2024, the ceremony celebrated 61 graduates, including 19 from the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program and 42 from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Prof. Aman emphasized the growing challenges facing future leaders, such as climate change, geopolitical shifts, and global uncertainties. “At IPMI, we prepare our students to tackle these challenges with cutting-edge technology, innovative thinking, and a strong foundation of integrity and hard work,” he stated.

Nico Kanter, the keynote speaker, shared his personal experiences in overcoming professional setbacks, highlighting how failures can serve as valuable lessons for growth. “Failures are not the end but the beginning of new learning experiences,” he told the graduates. Drawing from his career journey, Nico encouraged them to embrace resilience, focus on solutions, and continually seek opportunities to learn and grow.

Prof. Aman’s and Nico’s speeches aligned in their vision of transformational leadership-leaders who can adapt to change, inspire others, and create meaningful impacts in their organizations and society. Prof. Aman emphasized three key values for enduring leadership: integrity, humility, and a commitment to excellence.

“Transformational leaders are not just about personal success, they are about contributing to the greater good. The future belongs to those who dream big, act boldly, and lead with courage and compassion,” Prof. Aman said, inspiring graduates to embrace their potential.
