IPMI PowerTalk 8 September 2025:
Explores the Commercial Approach to Corruption Avoidance with Dr. Maximilian Burger-Scheidlin

JAKARTA – On Monday, September 8, 2025, IPMI Institute successfully hosted the latest edition of its flagship event, PowerTalk Series 2025, featuring the theme: “Commercial Approach to Corruption Avoidance.” Held at Puridani Hall and broadcast online, the event welcomed a total of 200 hybrid participants.

Keynote speaker Dr. Maximilian Burger-Scheidlin, Senior Director of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Austria, offered transformative insights on tackling corruption as a strategic business advantage rather than just a legal or compliance issue.

The event was opened by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between IPMI Institute and ICC Indonesia, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration to advance ethical business education, corporate governance training, and sustainable leadership.

“This partnership reflects IPMI’s commitment to shaping future leaders who are not only business-savvy but also uphold integrity and strong social responsibility,” said Prof. Ir. Aman Wirakartakusumah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Rector of IPMI Institute.

💡 Corruption Avoidance as Business Strategy

Dr. Burger-Scheidlin challenged the traditional punitive view of anti-corruption by advocating for incentive-based systems that encourage ethical behavior, drawn from real-world examples in high-risk regions.

Joining the discussion was Nico A.P. Mooduto, Partner at SSEK Law Firm, alongside moderator Dr. Amelia Naim, Head of Social Responsibility and Sustainable Mindset at IPMI.

Three lucky attendees also received free access to the IPMI MBA Single Subject Program, supporting Indonesia’s human capital development through practical business education.
